Investigation or site Visit
The starting point for our work on each case and claim is the investigation to obtain the facts, review witness statements, conduct site inspections and gather data. These investigations are as varied as the events themselves. They are the foundation of piecing together the series of events, and arriving at the initial hypothesis as to what occurred.
Testing / Analysis
We perform a variety of tests for our clients. Often it is to test one or more hypotheses. This may include core sampling, soils analysis, individual product testing and more. We can test for the presence of mold and other airborne particulate. We are also engaged to develop testing protocols to evaluate the strength of materials, the flammability properties of various products and conduct failure analysis.
Reporting
Our reports are designed to convey, in writing, the issues we were engaged to address, the material we reviewed to examine those issues, the scientific and technical basis of our investigation and our expert opinions as they apply to the issues. In some cases, our reports can be concise, two page documents while more complicated matters require lengthy documents encompassing all of the integral details including mathematical calculations and the application of scientific formulas. Each client receives the highest quality work product that communicates our expert opinion.
Deposition / Testimony
Some cases and claims require the testimony of experts. Whether through affidavit, deposition or courtroom testimony, our experts are prepared to convey to a fact finder, jury or arbitration panel the technical aspects of each case in a manner that can be understood by the non-expert. They can also assist our clients in preparing to obtain the testimony of the opposing experts by crafting lines of questioning and technical challenges. We prepare for each opportunity to testify through thorough review of all file documentation to assure the best presentation of our opinions in any venue.
